DETROIT (AP) - Jose Abreu and Dayan Viciedo hit RBI doubles in the seventh inning as the Chicago White Sox rallied for a 3-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers last night. Chicago scored three runs in the seventh off Anibal Sanchez after managing only one hit in the first six innings. John Danks allowed six hits and three walks in 6 1-3 innings.

DETROIT (AP) - Chicago White Sox left-hander Chris Sale is headed to the 15-day disabled list with what the team believes is a strained muscle in his throwing arm. Sale was supposed to face Tigers star Justin Verlander tonight. Sale threw 127 pitches in a loss to Boston on Thursday. He's 3-0 with a 2.30 ERA on the season.

DETROIT (AP) - Ndamukong Suh (ehn-DAHM'-uh-kehn soo) is not attending the Detroit Lions' voluntary minicamp this week. Detroit's first-year coach Jim Caldwell said last week he wished the defensive tackle was at previous voluntary workouts. The two-time All-Pro has skipped voluntary workouts in the past.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - The Detroit Lions have signed free agent cornerbacks Aaron Hester and Nate Ness. Hester spent time with the Denver Broncos last season. He was signed by the Broncos as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013. Ness played with the St. Louis Rams in 2011. He also played for the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks in 2010.
