Taxis come in yellow, green, black, and now... hot pink? They're called SheTaxis and they are from a cab service for women by women. (The cabs aren't actually pink, but drivers will carry pink pashminas.)The service is coming to New York this week. You could almost think of it as an all-female Uber.

    7 train to New Jersey?

    Friday, September 12 2014 6:14 PM EDT2014-09-12 22:14:24 GMT
The idea is grand: to take the 7 train and connect Queens to Manhattan to New Jersey. But as with all these massive projects, the chorus gets quiet when asked who will to pay for it. While business interests announced plans of an economic impact study, no one has even a ballpark number for a price tag.

HELMET VIDEO: Cyclist wipes out on taxi door

    Friday, September 12 2014 4:38 PM EDT2014-09-12 20:38:35 GMT
With a camera mounted to his helmet, a cyclist headed northbound on 4th Avenue in Manhattan. As he neared East 14th Street, the taxi door swung open and the cyclist slammed into the door and went down. But it's the aftermath where things got weird in an "Only in New York" kind of way as the blame game started. The cab driver was upset because he said his door was damaged.

We've all been there. The train is coming into the station, and you grab your MetroCard and quickly try and swipe it at a turnstile. "Please Swipe Again". "Please Swipe Again". "Insufficient Fare". The last two words are killer. You think to yourself “I swear I had a balance on this card”.
