SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Thanks for checking out our website here at Fox 2 and for
watching Fox 2 News.
I've been in broadcasting since I was 14 years old! I was so
excited when my parents bought me a small radio as a birthday gift
that I went out and got a job answering phones at a local radio
station, WCAM in Camden, New Jersey. By the time I was 15, I held
an FCC license and was on the air! Of course, I worked afternoons
and weekends so my favorite hobby wouldn't detract from school.
I graduated from Emerson College with a bachelor's degree in
speech and communications. In December of 2003, I received an
honorary doctorate in business from Cleary University in Washtenaw
County.
I consider myself fortunate to have a job where I can learn
something new every day. My career has taken me to Pittsburgh,
Syracuse, Providence, Philadelphia and Detroit. I've interviewed
presidents at the White House, top corporate executives in many
industries and thousands of fascinating people with great business
and money stories to tell.
The best part of my job is being able to report on issues
and stories that impact people and, I hope, make life better for
them.
My wife, Marla,is a principal in a local school district. We
I have two grown children, Katie and Rob.
Rob is a broadcaster in Cleveland, Katie is a teacher and
lives with her husband Andrew in Connecticut.
