(myFOXDetroit.com Staff Reports) - They might not have been on the guest list, but wedding-goers in Rochester were more than happy to welcome several 'American Idol' finalists to the party over the weekend.
Finalists Casey James , Andrew Garcia and Mike Lynche played the role of 'wedding crashers' during a reception for Michelle Ricketts and Bobby Belke Saturday night at the Royal Park Hotel . The 'Idols' are in town rehearsing for their live tour debut Thursday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills .
According to Garcia, they were having dinner at the hotel after rehearsal when someone came up and asked if they'd like to join the reception. Lynche, who played in a wedding band before appearing on Idol, was happy to oblige. "I just know that scene so well. It was surreal."
Maid of Honor Katie Avesian said the guys came in around 11 p.m. and sang Motown songs for the crowd. "Michelle's a big (Idol) fan," said Avesian. "She and Bobby were up on stage dancing with them. I think they might have even hit up the dessert bar."
Garcia told FOX 2's Lee Thomas that they love to crash weddings and had a great time hanging out. (Click the video player to see the complete interview)
