(myFOXDetroit.com) - As the summer continues with great weather, family fun and memorable vacations, Emerald City Designs is continuing to service beautiful weddings. During the late-summer, many of the ECD clients are gearing up for finalizing their last details for their Perfect Wedding. I am going to share with you some creative ideas for a Late-Summer Celebration.

Regardless of the outcome, it will be sure to be a memorable occasion. A Wedding Program is usually presented when guests arrive at the ceremony. If the ceremony is outdoors, you can pre-set the program in a unique way. When using chairs vs. pews for the ceremony, a pre-placed program is a great idea. Utilizing ribbon or a fabric sash, you can create a holder for the program in the back of each chair. This way, the program will stay in place outdoors until the guest seating in front of the chair is able to collect it.

Once the guests have witnessed the ceremony, let the celebration begin. Guests will be in awe once they view the reception details. Working with the right color palate is the key in defining the style and personality of the bride and groom. Regardless of the season, do not be afraid to work with all colors from ivory and muted tones to dark and rich tones…

When designing your reception, keep in mind, more of the same color tones will enhance the venue and allow for the guests to be wowed with your color choice. For a late summer color idea, working with tones of pinks and darker red’s can be timeless. Choosing to do brighter or darker textiles and rentals will also enhance any table setting. Whether you are choosing to do floral that are low to the table or elevated off of the table, keep in mind you want to make sure that your guests can see over or thru the floral design.

Finally, carry out a “theme” through the wedding ceremony and reception. When using a monogram, place it on the program, table number and thank you note – this will allow you to express the same rhythm throughout your stationery. As well, working with the same color palate with your invitation, carry these colors thru out the experience of the wedding and reception allowing the event to be cohesive and appreciated. The choice of color can be incorporated with the floral, wedding cake and lighting of the reception venue.

Happy Planning and Enjoy the Late-Summer ahead…
