(WJBK) - Sesame Street Live is at the Fox Theatre this week and they're holding auditions. VEE Corporation is looking to fill some big, furry shoes and hopes to find talented local performers to do just that.
Tours run an average of 10 months. For consideration, please bring a picture and resume and wear or bring dance attire. Performers must be 18 or older. All available positions are paid and non-union.
FULL-BODY COSTUME CHARACTERS: Vee requires versatile dancers, with strong technical ability in jazz and musical theatre dance styles, in the height range of 4'11" to 6'1". Gymnastics and tap are pluses. Dance combinations will be taught.
LIVE-MIC PERFORMERS must be able to dance well, sing, and act. A dance combination will be taught. Prepare two vocal selections, 16 bars each: ballad and up-tempo (a cappella or instrumental CD). Prepare an upbeat, one-minute monologue. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A LIVE ROLE, ALL PERFORMERS MUST COMPLETE THE DANCE PORTION OF THE AUDITION.
