Even as far back as elementary school, young Philip Schmitt knew he had a calling.

Recognizing his passion for the medical field and realizing his strengths, he stayed on path to become Philip Schmitt, D.O., a well-known orthopedic surgeon with the Detroit Medical Center.

Dr. Schmitt was the first in Michigan to perform the highly successful Birmingham Hip Resurfacing. He has helped hundreds with this medical breakthrough and has emerged as a leader in his field.
