Wayne County Hosting Free Health Expo for the Uninsured

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2 is working for your health.  Here is a way you can get valuable health screenings and health coverage information absolutely free.

Wayne County is hosting its annual Free Health Expo for the Uninsured on Wednesday, April 20 in Detroit.

It's a great way to get free health, dental and diabetes screenings, as well as HIV/AIDS testing.

You can find out more about health coverage programs offered by the county, state and City of Detroit.

You can also get important referrals for mental health services and on-site enrollment for programs like Head Start and Medicaid.

The event happens Wednesday, April 20 at Cobo Center from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Admission and parking are free, but don't forget to bring your picture identification, Social Security card and income information.
