Who's Most Affected by Hypertension?

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - New research highlights the disproportionate way high blood pressure affects African-Americans.

The latest numbers show blacks have the highest rates of hypertension of any race or ethnic type in the world.

Among African-Americans, more women than men have high blood pressure.

About 35-percent of blacks have high blood pressure, which accounts for 20-percent of African-American deaths.
