Kuzmeski discusses the following eight tips in detail:

  1. Think like an introvert - if you have to go, have a plan.
  2. Let them do the talking. (You ask the questions!)
  3. Be prepared to pitch yourself in fifteen seconds.
  4. The party may end, but your connection shouldn't.
  5. Remember, who they know matters, too.
  6. Even family functions are networking opportunities.
  7. Give yourself the gift of a professional organization membership.
  8. Volunteer.
