myFOXDetroit.com Staff - The city of Dearborn always marks Memorial Day in a special way. It's a long and cherished tradition in the city. This is its 86th year making it Michigan's oldest continuous tribute to America's fallen.
The parade pays tribute to those who have given their lives while serving in America's armed forces and recognizes the sacrifice made by all the military and their families every day.
Active and former servicemen representing the five branches of the military served as this year's parade grand marshals.
Fox 2's Bill Gallagher attended the event which paid tribute to some departed veterans long forgotten.
