DETROIT (AP) -- A 26-year-old Detroit man charged in a high-speed police chase where a pickup truck was rammed has been arraigned.
Andre Hardy appeared by video Saturday afternoon in 36th District Court.
Hardy is charged with third-degree fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing, driving with a suspended license, failure to stop at the scene of a personal injury accident and after a collision, and reckless driving.
A message was sent to prosecutors asking whether he had a lawyer.
Sky Fox filmed Thursday's chase and Hardy's arrest. It also captured a Detroit police officer striking Hardy with a baton after a short foot chase.
Detroit police and prosecutors say they are investigating whether the officer used excessive force.
