myFOXDetroit.com Staff - A Macomb Township soldier injured in Iraq got a new, custom built home for Christmas.

A group called Homes for our Troops helped build the home for 23-year old US Army Specialist Alex Knapp.

Knapp was injured in March of 2008 in Baghdad when an improvised explosive device blew up in his vehicle. He spent several months at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C.

Knapp now has two prosthetic legs and gets around in a wheelchair.

Knapp's handicapped accessible home was built at no cost . He also has no mortgage payments thanks to a generous community.

Fox 2's Ron Savage has more on the effort to help Knapp.
