Those having trouble paying delinquent property taxes can get help this week. The Wayne County Treasurer is holding its state-mandated Show Cause Hearings at Cobo Center on Tuesday, Jan. 31 and Wednesday, Feb. 1.
Two sessions each day are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Those attending should have their property proof of ownership, address, parcel number and the County notice available.
The state-mandated Show Cause Hearings are held to determine the state of each property owner's ability to pay their delinquent taxes and to hopefully help them avoid foreclosure.
Fox 2 is looking for some good ideas on how to redefine Detroit. Have one?
