myFOXDetroit.com Staff - A woman whose made a name for herself just by cooking stopped by
the FOX 2 Studios on Friday to share a recipe for a delicious
spinach and crab quiche.
You may have already tasted her food.
Polly Carpenter bakes and cooks take home dishes for Hillers
Markets. She's been in the business for 10-years. Her product line
includes Sour Cream Coffee Cake, Raspberry Streusel Loaf Cake,
three flavors of cookies and Sweet and Sour Stuffed Cabbage just to
name a few.
New entrees will be out at the end of January.
Here is her recipe for Spinach and Crab Quiche:
4 eggs
4 ounces shredded swiss cheese
4 ounces mozzarella cheese
2 cups sour cream
1 package frozen spinach thawed and drained
6 ounces of crab real or faux
1 quarter cup half and half
1 frozen deep dish pie shell
1 teaspoon garlic powder
.5 teaspoon black pepper
.5 teaspoon Lawry seasoning
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
.5 teaspoon paprika
Bake pie shell at 350 degrees for ten minutes. Take out of
oven. Mix all ingredients together and put in pie shell. Bake at
350 degrees for 45-55 minutes until center can be pricked and comes
out clean.
