Foxbeat Interview: Flute Specialist

Inside a music shop in Clawson a technician adjust pads to the perfect percussion and sets keys with the skill of a surgeon.

"We can actually adjust the instrument to 3000th of an inch tolerance level. For some flutist that's the way they would like it." says Robert Johnson. He has been in the business of flute repair and service for 17 years. He own and runs The Flute Specialist Inc .

He is a skilled metal worker, artist and musician that has turned his love for the flute into an international business called Flute Spcialist Inc. . "The flute is like the human voice, can perform great gymnastics, great lyrical instrument."

A song of a success small business built around a simple pipe with tone that's sound can raise the spirit and keep one local company in tune, economically of course. I asked him if his passion is what's keeping his business alive. Johnson says, "I think it is. We feel that if we can take care of people in a sincere way we may be one of the best kept secrets in city still."
