MT. CLEMENS, Mich. (WJBK) - A mix between bocce ball, horse shoes and shuffle board, it's called feather bowling. A fun and easy twist on bowling that can only be found a few places in the U.S.

Feather bowling is originally a Belgium game. The object is to get the ball, which looks like a wheel of cheese, closest to the feather as possible. Bath City Bistro in Mount Clemens is one of the few places to play feather bowling. Owned by Julie Gibbons and two of her closest girlfriends, Bath City started 12 years ago. "We got an idea of going into business together. I've known the girls, Debbie and Stephanie, since we were in sixth grade and we decided to open up feather bowling on this side of town," says Gibbons.

The wheel weighs only four pounds so essentially anyone can play. "You can have anybody from little kids, three years old we've seen them bowl, all the way up to over 90," says Gibbons. Not only does Bath City Bistro have feather bowling but it also offers great food. "We came to Bath City because we're familiar with the restaurant. The food is great," says Danielle Gion a frequent guest at Bath City Bistro. "We've enjoyed feather bowling here in the past and it's a great experience."

Bath City also hosts birthday parties for all ages. Guests can celebrate by feather bowling and enjoying steak, pizza and other delicious menu items cooked at the bistro. You can find more information on their website www.bathcitybistro.com or call them at (586) 469-0917.
