(WJBK) - The Brazeal Dennard Chorale will perform its annual Legacy Concert on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Bethel AME Church.
The concert will celebrate the musical legacy of African Americans featuring sacred Negro spirituals performed by members of the Brazeal Dennard Chorale and special performances by guest artists, including Detroit Symphony Orchestra bassist Rick Robinson and baritone Emory Stephens. Among the highlights of the afternoon will be the Chorale's performance of Adolphus Hailstork's 'I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes' featuring soprano Alice McAllister Tillman.
Tickets for the 4 p.m. performance are $25 and can be purchased by contacting the Chorale office at 313-331-0378 or 313-823-5278. Bethel AME Church is located at 5050 St. Antoine near Detroit's cultural district.
