There will be lots to sample on at this weekends much anticipated Ford Arts, Beats and Eats event.
Among the restaurants taking part is the Palm Palace in Royal Oak. Jamil Eid, the restaurant's Corporate Executive Chef and Mustafa Dakroub stopped by the Fox 2 studios on Tuesday to talk the weekend's festivities.
They also cooked up a delicious recipe of Mediterranean Sauteed Shrimp for everyone to taste.
Mediterranean Sauteed Shrimp
8 Peeled jumbo shrimp 8/12 count
2 tbs olive oil
4 cloves of garlic (mashed)
1/4 cup of cilantro diced
1 cup of mushrooms sliced
2 tbs of lemon juice
1 tsp of old bay spice
Salt to taste
Directions
Heat large skillet with olive oil. Add mashed garlic and shrimp, saute for 3-4 minutes than add mushrooms and continue saute for an additional 3-4 minutes. Add cilantro, old bay spice and lemon juice, saute for an additional 2 minutes and plate with your favorite side dish (Rice, Fries, Vegetables or Pasta).
Note: when adding salt to taste, note that the shrimp is already salty.
