SOUTHFIELD, Mich - Knit Michigan brings together knitters and other fiber-enthusiasts to raise and distribute funds to local cancer organizations. On February 6, the charity hopes to raise $50,000 in one day.
Event Co-chairs Bridget Dean and Joan Sheridan discuss their goals for the event, which takes place at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills, 1250 Kensington Rd.
Knit Michigan will feature hands-on demonstrations of knitting, spinning and weaving as well as a live auction, a fashion show and market. The show runs from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
