In Wednesday's Cooking School segment, nursing superviser, Alberta Lipinski, from the Medical Weight Loss Clinic and Chef Leonardo Vulagi stopped by the Fox 2 Studios.
The spoke about portion control, the importance of drinking 64 ounces of water a day, keeping a daily food journal and staying away from processed foods.
They also emphasized the need to exercise and showed us how to make a delicious egg white omelete.
Egg White Omelete with Veggies
6 egg whites (equivalent to 2 eggs)
1 cup raw (fresh or frozen) spinach
1 slice of part skim Swiss cheese
2 TBS. of fresh salsa (made from fresh tomatoes, onion, green pepper)
Cook in fry pan with unflavored Pam
1 slice of 40 calorie diet bread (any flavor) dry
1 cup diced cantaloupe
