Who: The Metro Detroit Pet Expo is an annual event that welcomes animal lovers from all across the region.

What: The 2011 show will feature the Ultimate Air Dogs and the Rock-N-Roll K-9's. In addition, the event will include a pet costume contest, as well as the ugliest dog contest.

When: Saturday, November 19th
10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 20th
11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Details: The event will include over 25 rescue groups in attendance with animals to adopt, and over 100 booths. Admission price for adults will be $10; $5 for children (6-12), and children under 5 years of age are admitted for free. Patrons can also receive $2 off the admission price by bringing an unopened can or bag of pet food to donate to the humane society. Spayed or neutered pets on short leashes will be welcomed, and owners must be able to provide proof of vaccinations. Due to health concerns for the birds in the show, pet birds will not be permitted.
