DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) - Federal agents and State Police were on hand Saturday at Ford Field for the first annual Michigan Missing Person's Day. It's designed to help family members who are searching for lost loved ones.

The event was held free of charge.
"We've been looking for our brother for a year," said one participant. "We just want answers."
That's why Michigan State Police Trooper and forensic artist Sarah Krebs organized Michigan Missing Person's Day. It was a precious chance for families to make sure information about their loved ones is up-to-date in all law enforcement and public missing person's databases. Participants were even able to give DNA samples and connect with others who truly understand their pain and their hope.
"I am so happy this is coming to light so people can get an understanding of how many people here in Michigan [are] really lost and missing," said another participant. "If it doesn't lead to some closure for our family, I'm quite sure it's going to lead to some closure for someone's loved one that's missing."
