Marines Return

HARRISON TWP., Mich. (WJBK) - Marines and sailors from the 1st Battalion 24th Marine Regiment based at Selfridge ANGB returned Sunday from a five-month deployment. They spent that time aboard a naval vessel in several Southeast Asian countries, including Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. Their mission was to conduct theatre security operations and provide demonstrations while showcasing the capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team in concert with allied and host nations.

The Marines and sailors arrived at the Marine Reserve Training Center then traveled to their individual home training centers to reunite with family and friends. Click on the video player to watch Ronnie Dahl's report.
