DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) - One person is dead, five others are injured after a shooting early Sunday morning on Detroit's west side. The shooter is still on the loose and there are a lot of unanswered questions. We're told EMS had no units available to transport some of the shooting victims to the hospital.

It happened around 2:30am Sunday at the intersection of Savannah and Charleston. Police say about a dozen people were hanging out by a couple of cars parked in the middle of the street when someone ran toward them opened fire. Following the shooting, four of the victims went to the 12th precinct police station for help.
"EMS was requested and allegedly were unable to respond due to the fact that there were no units available," said Wisam Zeineh with the Detroit EMS Association. "With that being the case, police transported the four injured to the hospital since there wasn't an ambulance."
Right now, investigators are working with very little information in this case. If you know anything, call Detroit Police.
