DETROIT - Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Lt. Gov. Brian Calley plan to tour the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
They're expected to check out the exhibits on the show floor at Cobo Center starting around midday Tuesday, the second day of news media previews.
On Tuesday afternoon, Snyder plans to speak to engineering students during an event sponsored by the Michigan Economic Development Corp. The governor's office says an announcement is planned at the event.
The auto show opens to the public Saturday and runs through Jan. 22.
