DETROIT (WJBK) - "My family is going through a hard thing right now, and I miss him," said Aurelia Palmer.
Antonio Walker, her 21-year-old son, was murdered on July 12th a little after midnight. Police say he walked into a gas station and tried to buy marijuana from a guy who was just hanging out there. Two men approached and offered to lead him to what he wanted.
"They walk out the gas station and minutes later you hear the gunshot," said Detroit Police Homicide Detective Nancy Foster.
"I [couldn't] close my eyes until after three o'clock from getting that phone call telling me he [was] not here [any] more, and I pray to God every day that we get justice," said Sparleigh Cleveland, Antonio's aunt.
The two men are Detective Foster's key suspects. She's been working this case from the beginning. There were plenty of witnesses, but nobody is talking.
"I don't understand how you can ... know a crime was committed where someone was killed and you just sit there," she said.
Crime Stoppers is now getting involved. They are offering a $2,500 reward ($3,500 if you call before Thursday at midnight) for any information leading police to Walker's killer, giving his family the closure they need and deserve.
"Please come forward. My family deserves some type of peace," Palmer said.
If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
