(WJBK) - The Detroit Public Schools are gearing up for a radical change. Plans to reshape the district include splitting DPS into two school systems; one for the schools currently performing on par and another that includes the 39 lowest performing schools in the city.

FOX 2's Alexis Wiley spoke with a 17-year-old aspiring journalist who is giving up his school in the suburbs and moving back to Detroit to be part of the change.
