A 10-month old Labrador puppy has had one of his legs amputated. Meanwhile, Oakland County Animal Control is conducting an animal cruelty investigation.
On January 26th police were called to a house on Jay Street for a separate issue. However, while there, they spotted a 10-month old Labrador puppy who was missing the flesh on the lower part of one of his legs.
The owners were told to get the animal medical attention. Officers showed up again last week, and they found that never happened.
Marley the dog was then rushed to emergency surgery and his leg was amputated. Marley is expected to make a full recovery in two to three weeks.
The Oakland Pet Adoption Center hopes to find Marley a loving home once he has fully recovered.
