Frustrated residents are fuming over flames that torched 85 homes and buildings in a four hour period on September 7th.

’You’ve got one house (causing) nine houses to burn down? That (doesn’t) make (any) sense,’ one Detroit resident told FOX 2 on Tuesday.

Mayor Bing’s office is feeling the heat from angry homeowners.

’I just don’t think for a natural disaster, which is really what this was, I don’t think that you can appropriately plan for that,’ Bing said earlier this week at a press conference.

The question is can the mayor’s plan to right-size Detroit help prevent a problem like this from flaring up in the future.

’Right-sizing, which means getting rid of the people you don’t want,’ said one man we spoke with on Wednesday.

’If everybody leaves, where’s Detroit? Detroit’s going to be knocked off the map,’ a woman also told us on Wednesday.
