SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- Governor Rick Snyder delivered his second State of the State address Wednesday night. He said things are looking up.

"We're on that path. We're getting it right, and we're getting it done," said Snyder.

Unemployment is down, the state has a surplus, but he also admits, "Not all went well or smoothly in 2011."

Then there's the looming question about an emergency manager in Detroit.

"It's important for all Michiganders to understand that having a thriving, growing Detroit is critical to all of us," Snyder said.

"Another missed opportunity. I think the governor should've looked in the camera and talked directly to the people of Detroit who are upset with what he is doing," said FOX 2's Tim Skubick.

Plus, more political bombshells. Rick Perry calls it quits and new allegations against Newt Gingrich from his ex-wife.

Joining Huel Perkins and Charlie Langton to discuss these topics were State Rep. Maureen Stapleton, State Rep. Chuck Moss, Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero and conservative commentator Stacy Swimp.
