SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - The battle for control of the Detroit water department heats up. Some say the suburbs should have a bigger voice in how to run it.
However, Mayor Bing said Thursday, "I think it's ludicrous for Detroit to own the system, to have all the debt, but doesn't have control of management of the system."
Plus, there's a plan in the works to allow guns inside more places, including schools, casinos and churches. Do gun free zones stop criminals or does packing heat in the pews make us all safer?
Joining FOX 2's Huel Perkins and Charlie Langton on the panel are state Representative Kurt Heise, a Republican from Plymouth, state Repres entative Shanelle Jackson, a Democrat from Detroit, political consultant Steve Hood and Detroit Police Officer John Bennett.
Click on the first two videos to watch this week's conversation. Our third video features the latest edition of "Let It Rip On the Road" as Charlie Langton asks metro Detroiters for their opinions.
