ROCHESTER, Mich. (WJBK) - A 2011 Chevy Camaro convertible goes for about $35,000.

"This one's a six cylinder, but it's 312-horsepower, so it gets 30 miles to the gallon, and it's a real quick, sporty little car. So, it's going to be a fun car for somebody to drive," said Don Hamilton, president of Hamilton Chevrolet. "Somebody for $25 is going to win that gorgeous car."

5,000 raffle tickets are being sold for the Camaro Hamilton donated to raise funds for the Michigan Make-A-Wish Foundation.

20 years ago, Hamilton's six-year-old son lost a long battle with leukemia. The boy loved wrestling, and Make-A-Wish brought him joy.

"His wish was to meet Hulk Hogan, so Make-A-Wish made that happen. The whole family got to see Hulk Hogan, and while that was going on, his illness kind of magically went away. That's what granting a wish does. It gives people breathing time to get back to a normal life for a short time," Hamilton explained.

The Rochester Mills Octoberfest Friday night and all day Saturday is where you can see the Camaro and have a good time.

"So, people can come for a family friendly event, purchase a raffle ticket, enjoy German authentic food, live music and children's activities," said Meghan Mair. "The proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan."

The raffle and Octoberfest proceeds will bring joy to one five-year-old and many other children battling life threatening illnesses.

"Actually, proceeds will benefit a local child from Rochester. His name is Ben, and he's living with leukemia," Mair explained. "This October he'll be going to Walt Disney World."

The raffle for the Camaro will be held on October seventh.

To purchase tickets, call 800-622-WISH (9474) or Hamilton Chevrolet at (586) 264-1400.  You can also find more information at www.wishmich.org/camaro.
