DETROIT (AP) - Michael Jackson's fans in Detroit, where the pop megastar's recording career began 40 years ago, have been invited to the live broadcast of his memorial service.

The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History will show the live broadcast of the ceremony in Los Angeles' Staples Center on its large screen from 1-3 p.m. EDT Tuesday. There's a $5 admission fee.

A candlelight vigil to remember Jackson's life and legacy was held last weekend at the original home of Motown Records in Detroit. People have visited the historic Hitsville USA building daily following the 50-year-old Jackson's death to pay their respects to the international icon.
