ROMULUS, Mich. (WJBK) - A mangled Mercury Cougar with three teenage bodies inside. Pieces of the car scattered everywhere.

"They didn't hit brakes or anything. Just going about 90 to 95 miles an hour," said off-duty Wayne County Deputy Donnell Webb, who witnessed the driver speeding southbound on Venoy and then crossing Van Born continuing on to Gateway Drive through a curve where he lost control. He called 9-1-1 moments after seeing a collision into a brick entrance sign.

"I called them to help me and they said they were going to be there and they never came," said Megan Peterson.

The 17-year-old girl says she was waiting for two boys from Westland and a girl from Inkster to come pick her up nearby. She had been in an argument with family and wanted to get out of the house.

Police confirmed the identities of the teens in the car as 19-year-old Brianna Bennett, 18-year-old Joshua Sibenrock and 19-year-old driver Gary Gains.

"They were like give us ten minutes and I was like okay and then after that I didn't hear from them. I left messages on their cell phones. I called and called and no one would answer," Peterson said.

No answer and then peterson got a call from another friend. She had seen it on the news. A triple fatal car crash in Romulus. Only one person who was not in the car was also hurt. The driver of a lawn mower was clipped by the car, but treated for injuries and released from he hospital shortly after.

Police tell FOX 2 only the driver was wearing a seat belt.

"I'm probably going to be going crazy," said Peterson. "It's just going to be really, really hard on me."

At this point police are not saying if alcohol may have played a role in this crash.
