SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - Power has been restored to nearly 2,000 residents in Southfield and Bingham Farms after a car crashed into a utility pole near 12 Mile and Telegraph Rd., FOX 2's Al Allen reports.
Allen says the accident happened around 4 a.m. and knocked out power to both businesses and residents for several hours.
Police tell Allen the driver of the vehicle fell asleep behind the wheel before crashing.
Traffic lights were out at the busy intersection during the morning hours, but came back around 6 a.m.
