Authorities shut down a Detroit strip club that's accused of hiring a 14-year-old girl to be a topless dancer.
A padlock was put on the All-Star Club on Eight Mile late Monday afternoon.
In addition to the accusations of hiring a child, the club has also been the scene of numerous shootings in recent years. Some of those incidents were fatal.
"There's always a clientele for places like this, and I'm not mad at the clients. It's the behavior outside the place, and it's the behavior that destroys the community," said Detroit Police Chief Warren Evans. "Eleven shootings over a number of years... three fatal shootings... Who wants to live around that kind of activity?"
Authorities hope new owners will take over the company and conduct better and safer business practices.
