Detroit Family Pleads For Clues to Murder of Husband And Father of Four

myFOXDetroit.com - The family of a murder victim described as a hard working family man is pleading for clues to help Detroit Police catch his killer.

39-year old Raymond Vance was shot and killed as he was getting into his car at 3a.m. on the night of May 8, 2009.

Detroit Police Homicide Detectives say Vance was gunned down while getting out of his1995 green Ford Taurus that was parked in front of an apartment complex in the area of MacKenzie, just east of Greenfield in Detroit.

Vance leaves behind a wife and four children. Along with his three sisters, Vance's mother Maxine said, "if anyone knows what happened to my son, I've been praying that they'll speak up. It hurts so much to know what has happened to him. We've been saying our prayers. If you know something, please come forward."

Crime Stoppers is currently offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

An additional $1,000 is being offered if that information is received by midnight on Wednesday, September 14.
