SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - Students at Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township paid special tribute to a fallen soldier on Thursday.

To celebrate Veterans Day, faculty and staff paid honor to Army specialist Alex Knapp, who died of a heart attack last month. Knapp was injured in March of 2008 in Baghdad when an improvised explosive device blew up in his vehicle. He spent several months at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C.

Knapp lived with two prosthetic legs and touched the lives of many as pushed through his injuries and inspired others. FOX 2's Al Allen was there and filed this video report.
