DETROIT (WJBK) - Crews are on the scene of a fire at the old Packard Motor Car Co. plant on Detroit's east side.

SkyFOX showed images over the blaze that appeared to spread to the top and middle floors of one of the once-bustling plant's buildings. Firefighters could be scene waiting outside the locked gates, unable to get inside to douse the flames.

The abandoned factory, located on Mt. Elliott and E. Grand Blvd., is a know hangout for vagrants. Investigators are trying to figure out if one of them started a fire to keep warm before it got out of hand.
