ADRIAN, Mich. (WJBK) - The father of three missing Michigan boys has pleaded no contest to three counts of unlawful imprisonment.

Lenawee County Circuit Court officials say John Skelton entered the plea Thursday morning. Skelton is scheduled to be sentenced on September 15. His attorney says he could receive up to 15 years in prison.

Kidnapping and parental kidnapping charges were dropped.

Nine-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner have not been seen since Thanksgiving when they were at their father's home in Morenci, a small town on the Michigan-Ohio border. Police and volunteers have searched on both sides of the state line.

Skelton has not told authorities where the boys can be found.
