Kathleen Edward: One Year After a Facebook Taunt Sparks a Movement

TRENTON, Mich. (WJBK) - You may remember Jennifer Petkov, the Trenton Woman accused of harassing her neighbors-- including a terminally ill little girl. Fox 2 decided to check up on the neighborhood Friday.

It's been a year since our first story, so we contacted the family of Kathleen Edward, who suffers from Huntington's Disease , a degenerative brain disorder, to see how she is doing.

The girl's condition is getting worse, and her family tells us their relationship with Petkov has not improved. Last year we showed images from a Facebook page, where Petkov made fun of Kathleen and the girl's mother, who died from the same brain disease.

Fox 2 has learned Petkov has since lost custody of her kids, and was put on probation for trying to run over another neighbor. She was ordered to move out of her home, but is now back in the neighborhood. Her antics are far from over, according to Kathleen's grandmother, Becky Rose. She says Petkov posted a message on Facebook which read "You thought the [past] 4+ years were bad you haven't seen nothing yet!"

Rose tells us Petkov also recently taunted Kathleen, "As soon as she saw Kathleen getting put in a wheelchair, she is on her phone yelling real loud 'oh i just saw the best thing ever' well we're not stupid, we know what that meant."
