DETROIT (WJBK) -- American Coney Island teamed up with local celebrities, including FOX 2's Charlie LeDuff and Charlie Langton, to help raise money for The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW).
"Celebrity Coneys for a Cause" began Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and ran until 2:00 p.m. at American Coney Island in Detroit.
LeDuff and Langton served customers and collected money from guests to go towards charity. Others participating included Neal Rubin, Billy Amen from TLC's "All American Muslim", Seth Gold from TruTV's 'Hardcore Pawn" and former Detroit Pistons forward and current FOX Sports Detroit analyst Greg Kelser.
American Coney Island will give a portion from the sales of coneys and coney combo specials to THAW.
The Heat and Warmth Fund helps those in need of emergency energy assistance. Learn more about THAW by visiting www.thawfund.org.
