Metro Airport is gearing up for a big auction, and it includes some items much too large for the lost and found counter.
If there is only six degrees of separation between you and somebody on the other side of the world, chances are somebody you both know once sat in gate chairs from Metro Airport. Now, thanks to auction, it's your chance to buy them and be worldly.
Auctioneer Chuck Cryderman and Associates is helping the airport part ways with a hangar full of items that were lost or left behind, plus airport stuff such as 18 fire extinguishers, Samsung professional display monitors, and a snack bar display case without the overpriced sandwiches.
Wait, there's more, including a runway snow plow that will clear your driveway in five seconds, a salt truck that will melt your driveway in four seconds and a Chevy pickup that will sit in your driveway and be visible from space.
Jewelry, rings, watches, portable DVD players, laptops, televisions, vehicles and equipment -- for a complete list of sale items visit the auctioneer's website at www.crydermanauctions.com.
The auction is scheduled for June 5 at 10:00 a.m.
