(myFOXDetroit.com) - October is breast cancer awareness month and a local business is giving Metro Detroiters a chance to get some "pink ink" while supporting a good cause.
Elite Ink Tattoo in Center Line is giving away pink ribbon tattoos to raise money for the Pink Fund, an organization that provides financial aid to women and men afflicted with breast cancer.
Elite Ink is taking donations during its tattoo marathon ranging from $25, $50, $75 depending on how big a tattoo you want..
Last year Elite Ink raised $4,300 for the Pink Fund, this year they're hoping to exceed the $6,000 mark..
April Stanley of Ray Township says she was getting the tattoo for a very personal reason.
"This doesn't compare to if they do find something, I'm going through 6 months of testing and this doesn't compare to what will happen if they find something, Stanley said..
The crew at Elite Ink will be working until 10pm giving away the pink ribbon tattoos..
One hundred percent of proceeds go to the Pink Fund.
