SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -- Check anywhere you might have left a winning lottery ticket. Someone won the Fantasy 5 drawing last February and never came forward. Time is almost up to claim a prize worth over $213,000.
Last year, when a Shell gas station in Shelby Township at 25 Mile and Van Dyke was a BP, somebody played the Fantasy Five and on February 8, 2011 and hit one heck of a jackpot.
"That's the first time I've sold a winner this big," said Al at the Shell.
What kind of cash are we talking about? $213,745.
Here's the deal with all those the dollars! It's been a year and, "Nobody would claim it or nobody came forward. I couldn't believe it," Al explained.
"We even put a sign out to let people know that we sold the winner and nothing."
Al really wants the lucky guy or gal to show their face.
"The thing is we don't get the commission money unless the person comes forward and claims the prize," he said.
The winning numbers were 12-25-27-37-39. You have until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday to claim the prize.
