DETROIT (WJBK) - At the corner of Fort and Green there is a place called Motz's Burgers. FOX 2 photographer Rodney Ferguson grew up on Detroit's southwest side and says it's an institution.
"As kids, we used to walk up here and grab 25-cent burgers out of Motz's. Best burgers in town," he explained.
People from the neighborhood swear Motz's hamburgers are the best around. Owner Bob is inclined to agree.
"This is the best beef because it's freshly grounded. It's quality beef. You've got fresh onions, and it's fresh daily. That's what makes them special," he said.
"I live in Livonia, but I still come over here even on the weekends for the food," said one patron.
Motz's was picked one of the best burgers by USA Today. If you must know, FOX 2's Jason Carr had three.
