New Witness Says She Danced at Manoogian Mansion Party

DETROIT (WJBK) - "What stands out in her mind is Kwame Kilpatrick receiving a lap dance from her friend and Kwame Kilpatrick's wife coming in and beating the pulp out of her friend," said Norman Yatooma.

He's the attorney for the family of Tamara Greene, the exotic dancer who allegedly performed for Kwame Kilpatrick at the rumored wild party at Manoogian Mansion where she was allegedly assaulted by Carlita Kilpatrick. Greene was murdered in a hale of gunfire back in 2003.

In a court filing, Yatooma revealed he deposed another dancer who said she was at the party. Tamika Ruffin allegedly saw Greene giving Kwame Kilpatrick a lap dance, at which point Carlita Kilpatrick came in and attacked Greene with a table leg.

"Tamika Ruffin is understandably terrified. We took her deposition on video with the expectation that we may need to use it for trial. I don't know if I'll ever be able to reach her again," Yatooma said.

However, Kwame Kilpatrick's attorney, Jim Thomas, told FOX 2 off camera that Ruffin, who suffers from a closed head injury, made incredible claims in her deposition alleging 50 dancers gave 150 men lap dances at the Manoogian, and after the alleged attack, she ran outside half-naked and hid behind a parked car all in front of a FOX 2 truck. For the record, FOX 2 was not at the never proven party.

"I'll take her and anybody against Kwame Kilpatrick any day of the week," said Yatooma.

He wants a jury to hear his case. It's not clear that will happen. A magistrate first wants to know if the city destroyed evidence. He has set a hearing for December 1st.

FOX 2 Legal Analyst Charlie Langton said the city could be in for serious sanctions.

"If I'm working for the city right now, I'm shaking a little bit. This could be tough for them," he said.

"They literally shredded, in the words of their lawyer they electronically shredded all the e-mails of the mayor, the chief of staff and the head of the law department. Find me a lawyer who shreds his or her e-mails," Yatooma said.

All parties will be back in court on December 1st with the city in the hot seat.
