DETROIT (WJBK) - It's a story we've been covering for more than a year -- FOX 2 taking a closer look at the way Detroit manages its ambulance service. What we uncovered was a deadly system on the verge of collapse.
We showed you an infant who died in church waiting on an ambulance and a heart attack victim in the snow waiting the better part of an hour.
We showed you a fleet of broken down rigs. We showed you and naturally you were angry.
A lot of promises were made over the last year to fix the EMS system. Money was promised. A new fire commissioner was brought in from Los Angeles.
Has it gotten better? FOX 2's Charlie LeDuff has answers, but that doesn't mean you going to like them.
