FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) - Hundreds of pumpkins spilled across I-696 east near Orchard Lake Road Wednesday, causing a headache for morning motorists.
SkyFOX captured images of the smashed pumpkins spread across all five lanes around 6:20 a.m. They spilled out of the back of a truck which was then pulled over by police in Southfield.
FOX 2's Al Allen reports plow trucks from the Oakland County Road Commission arrived on the scene shortly after 8 a.m. to scrape up the mess. As of 8:30 a.m., motorists were passing by without incident.
No one was injured, but reports say one motorist had a smashed windshield.
